SPECIAL TRAVEL PROGRAM
Painting Workshop in New Mexico with Francine Shore

Join artist, instructor, Francine Shore amidst the drama and enchantment of the New Mexican landscape.  Shadows dance as they lengthen across open skies of crimson and turquoise.  The rugged mountains, enormous stretches of land, bright moon, endless stars, dusty pink mesas, and crystalline light consumed by the scent of Pinion is both striking and inspiring. In Santa Fe we will stay at the" Inn on the Alameda", a  fine southwestern style inn with spacious, beautiful rooms, inside/ outside public spaces, , with easy access to the "Plaza" in the center of town where the native Americans from the local pueblo's sell their crafts, and to Canyon Road, where all of the art galleries are.  We will visit  Abiquqi, and Ghost Ranch, where artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe lived and painted.... We will go to galleries such as, Gerald Peters, Riva Yares, Linda Durham, SITE Santa Fe, and more.

While in town we will concentrate on looking and talking about art.  By the time we take the "high road" to Taos we will be ready to paint, work out ideas, interact with the desert mountain environment, with our work and ourselves. In Taos we will stay at the famous hacienda" Mabel Dodge Luhan House", once a gathering place for artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, Arthur Dove, and D.H. Lawrence.  These amazing people were invited to the "salon of the time".  Working by the Taos mountain, where an ochre light captures the land, is a treat for any creative person.  New Mexico will appeal to our senses, as well as our vision, while it captures our hearts.

The program includes: Roundtrip airfare from Philadelphia/ Accommodations/Driver/van in New Mexico/Painting Workshop/Art History/Gallery and Museum visits/ all breakfasts/all dinners in Taos, and many extras.
